Bancroft is a leading regional nonprofit provider of specialized services for individuals with autism, other

intellectual or developmental disabilities and those in need of neurological rehabilitation. Through its innovative programs supporting people throughout different stages in life, Bancroft offers a comprehensive range of services aimed at unlocking the full potential in each person and meeting his or her changing needs. Programming includes special education, vocational training and supported employment, structured day programs, residential treatment programs,  community living programs, and behavioral supports. In 2018, Bancroft opened the Raymond & Joanne Welsh Campus in Mt. Laurel, NJ, for children’s services, featuring the flagship Bancroft School and Lindens Center for Autism. The campus is the most progressive and expansive campus for children with special needs in the region.


Bancroft NeuroRehab focuses on the therapeutic, day program and residential needs of people in rehabilitation from brain injury or other neurological disorders with four locations throughout New Jersey.


Established in 1883 and now headquartered in Cherry Hill, NJ, Bancroft boasts 30 programs in 16 locations serving 2,000 people annually throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, including more than 200 community-based group homes and supervised apartments. 24/7 Crisis Helplines (non-profit) providing confidential and compassionate support, resources, educational programs and related services primarily to Burlington County residents.  CONTACT is the designated provider in Burlington County for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network. 

CONTACT offers crisis intervention, emotional support, sexual assault services, "care-calls" for the homebound elderly, grief support for pet owners and also maintains a comprehensive database of available social and human resources for Burlington County.  Services are confidential and free of charge.

The Food Bank of South Jersey feeds up to 200,000 children, seniors, and families in need both here in Burlington and in surrounding counties. We provide more than 13 million pounds of food to more than 250 food pantries and direct service programs in several neighborhoods throughout Burlington and beyond. We also provide nutrition education, such as healthy cooking classes, and to find sustainable ways to improve people's lives. We rely on partnerships with the county businesses for volunteer, financial, and other generous support.
